I've since given up on it and gone with the PureVPN that was on here a few months ago, which has performed well.
I've been in touch with their tech support, they had no fix for the connection issues and put the auto-connect in as a feature request. Every time I connect from either of my main computers, it connects and disconnects repeatedly, interrupting my connectivity every time, it also outright occasionally fails to connect without a reboot, and it wont automatically connect to the best server upon startup, only the last one. It was still included with my package but required a new client. About 2 months ago they switched the VPN to a company called PrivadoVPN. It was included with my usenet package, had decent speeds, and just plain worked. The reason we're having a problem at all is because clients don't get updated regularly and if the client doesn't get updated, then the new root CA. I used to use the Newshosting VPN client, which connected to NH's own servers and was rock solid. In normal circumstances this event, a root CA expiring, wouldn't even be worth talking about because the transition from an old root certificate to a new root certificate is completely transparent. And now since my monthly overhead is cheaper, I've been looking at getting supernews since they have a 1 year promo happening which is strong as well. This is a better deal than what I'm paying for so I'm going to switch. In regards to newshosting, I've been with them since they were newsrazor and have never faced an issue. Once the certificate has been provisioned, only devices that have a certificate signed by the Root CA on the An圜onnect Server will successfully authenticate to VPN.
